FAQ

How is this event free?
This event is completely organized and delivered by volunteers, For this years event funding has been provided by the Kaipātiki Local Board.

Do I have to run?
No, you can do any combination of walking/jogging/running that suits your goal.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, just respect other users of the trail and follow the park rules by keeping your dog on a leash.

This event was in October last year, why the change to April?
We believe it is better suited for this event to be at the end of summer rather then the after winter and it clashes less with similar events. There is some uncertainty with the Eskdale track being open later in the year as there are potential repairs/maintenance to be done.

Can I change the distance I have signed up for?
Yes, the question on form is just to give us a rough idea of how long people plan to be out there.

I signed up but I can’t make it anymore, what’s your refund policy?
100% refund no questions asked 😉 you can let us know via email, we also offer free entry into next years event!

Can I leave my gear at the Start/finish line?
Yes there will be a small bag drop zone by the registration tent, you are also welcome to set-up your own personal space within the reserve.

I cant make it in the morning, can I start later?
Yes, there will be some congestion during the 9am start time so you are welcome to start anytime throughout the day/night.
